Two Stargate Alums Coming to SMALLVILLE, Details of The JSA Lineup Revealed!
This summer we heard some really good news in that DC bad-ass Geoff Johns was going to write an episode of Smallville this season. We also knew back then that it was going to involve the Justice Society. Well, the word over at Sci-fi Wire is that two of those JSA members will be Hawkman and Dr. Fate. What is more, they will both be played by Stargate Alumni!
Brent Stait, who guest starred on Stargate Atlantis and did some work on the Stargate: Children of the Gods video game as Major Louis Ferretti, will play Dr. Fate. Michael Shanks of Stargate SG-1 will take on the role of Hawkman. For those of you who don’t know who the hell that is(/slap), Shanks played Dr. Daniel Jackson, a role that was originally played by James Spader in the 1991 Stargate movie. We don’t know if Shanks will dawn the Hawk helm, but I find it unlikely. They will probably do what they’ve done with everyone else on that show and dress him up in a leather suit with colors that are reminiscent to his comic roots. Maybe a hood with a hawk-like appearance. I just hope he has his mace.
DS Out.
